:: Sharing Our Music - "Alleluia" ::

Alright, friends...we're taking a step of faith here and releasing one of our songs here at Chasing-Eden for the first time!  After some well-timed encouragement from a sweet friend and some God-confirmation of our calling and passions, we decided it was time to share a this piece of our heart.  In the coming weeks and months we hope to do some vlogging to introduce some of the new pieces we're working on refining and we might even "pre-release" some of the recording we're doing this winter/spring in anticipation of our EP (release date: TBD).  Please pray for us as we move forward in this journey - it is such an incredible mixture of excitement and butterflies because we're not sure what God is doing with it all...we've decided to remain faithful to the doors He opens and share what He has laid on our hearts...so, without further ado...this is Alleluia...

Nine-thirty on a Sunday morning
The double doors, they swing wide open
To reveal a congregation with joyful hearts raised
They are immersed in Your praise

They worship You
In Spirit and Truth

They are Children of the King
And You listen to them sing
As they raise their hands up higher
Their voices join the royal choir
And they sing...
Allelu allelu alleluia
Allelu allelu alleluia
Allelu allelu alleluia
They're Children of the King

All alone under the midnight sky
You put the stars in place
And it's just You and I
And as I quietly kneel with my heart raised
Oh, I give You all my praise

I worship You
In Spirit and Truth

I'm a Child of the king
And You listen to me sing
As I raise my hands up higher
My voice, it joins the royal choir
And i sing...
Allelu allelu alleluia
Allelu allelu alleluia
Allelu allelu alleluia
I'm a Child of the King

Gathered 'round Your throne in heaven
The saints, they circle up and they shout...Amen!
And as we humbly bow with our hearts and our crowns raise
Oh, we give You all our praise

We worship You
In spirit...in Spirit and Truth

We are Children of the King
And You listen to us sing
As we raise our hands up higher
Our voices make up the royal choir
And we sing...
Allelu allelu alleluia

Allelu allelu alleluia

Allelu allelu alleluia

We're Children of the King

All creatures of our God and king
Lift up your voice with us sing...Alleluia...

We'd love to hear your feedback...what do you think?

  18. Oh, wow - what a fun major! I would've loved to do that, but I'm pretty sure Theory would've killed it for me! I was the Worship Arts Director at our old church and truly miss that part of my life. I'm so thankful that God has given me a different space in which I can grow and worship as His daughter.

  21. Sweet, heather...thank you. If you and Aurie hadn't encouraged me at Relevant to not be nervous and to move forward with what God was doing, I'm not sure I would've jumped when I did. Thank you, sister!

  24. Wow! So cool! Now let's be friends :) Ha! Yes he wrote a song for our wedding and dedicated a song to me for his senior recital. Totally cool! I was spoiled :) He actually hasn't written in a long time since he is busy at church now. I think he misses it. Anyway, I was a music education major in college too! so I also know your song is great! Excited for you! and I understand the mixture of emotions you must be having at the same time. I would love to know more about your journey as you move forward. Shoot me an e-mail sometime if you want :)
